Default Ecu and harness...

Im getting the jdm ecu and harness with the complete swap of course. My original plans were to use the p72 with a usdm engine harness, because i heard that jdm harnesses werent worth shit, because they are backwards. But then i figured, if the harness is connecting with the jdm ecu, and running with the jdm motor, then what should it matter, so would it be easier to use the jdm harness and ecu or do it how i had it planned and just look for a harness in the states? OR would it be easier just to look for an american version of the p72 and a usdm harness? Which is going to be the easiest and cause me the least of a headache?

Japanese cars are right hand drive, the ECU is on the opposite side of the car. In most cases, the Japanese harness is too short to fit a US left hand drive chassis. It can be used, but you'll have to modify it.
