when I put my jdmb16 into my teg my mpg was the same as yours. I had ctr pistons and ctr cams and a programmed ecu from jdmhondaparts.com. But it was fine with me.

2 words...VERY RICH...that chip dumps a lot of fuel in the system, better consider an ignition upgrade or a stock ecu, if your engine is stock why do you have a chipped ecu though?

Crappy ECU ROM. plain and simple. Not to mention how bad it is for your engine...

Some reading for you:

Interesting link. I've heard that the Mugen and Spoon and the other common chipped ECU programs run very rich. You'd have to image they do, considering their designed for cams that can injest a lot more air than your stock cams can, they will need the extra fuel. I never knew about the disabled CEL's or knock sensor though, interesting. Seeya.

Well, in an endurance race they're a lot more concerned about getting to the end than saving the engine... they rebuild the engine after each run, after all.
