h22a question [How to ID a JDM motor?]

Default h22a question [How to ID a JDM motor?]

my friend has an accord with a h22a in it. He says that it is from japan, how can you tell if it is or it isnt?

The most reliable way to identify the engine is check the code stamped on the engine block. In the specific example you're talking about, it's simple... the H22A was not originally sold in the US market.

Also, since this has nothing to do with the Integra and everything to do with motors and swaps, these sorts of questions ought to be posted either in Engine Tech & Tuning or in the Hybrid forum.
