Default Ostrich Tuning

Hey Everyone,
I have an OBD-1 ECU chipped running uberdata.
I no longer can get the chip programmed by the guy who did it for me originally, as he is no longer doing the chipping.
I was gonna purchase an EEprom programming box, but I saw the Ostrich from Moates, and it seems even better. Does anyone have this or know how much better it is than buying the $85 chip programmer?
Does the ostrich just eliminate the need to pull the chip out and burn it using a stand-alone programmer?
My fuel maps are great, but I really only need to modify the VTEC engagement point. Right now, it's set WAY TOO low at 4100. I cant even go 80mph without it being in VTEC and wasting power and more importantly, gas. It's a long story why it's set this low, cause the guy just gave me his chip when I was having problems awhile ago, so it is set to his liking.
Any help is greatly appreciated before I go and get it.

I have both. The ostrich is way better, but if you are just reburning the chip and not doing real time burning, there is no need for it.
