Default -0.03V going to knock sensor?

I'm getting -0.03V to -0.05V going to my knock sensor. How could this be happening? It's the same voltage when measured at the ECU... Is my ECU screwed up? Am I mistaken that it's supposed to go to A3? (OBDI Honda Prelude Si P14 ecu)

The knock sensor creates its own voltage...it isn't supplied from the ECU.

Does it need engine vibration to do it? I have an F22a1, there's no place for a knock sensor, so I have it wired up and laying up above the ECU on it's little platform thing, with the proper plug in from the ECU, and wire coiled around the base and running to the ECU ground from grounding... So... should it be working, or does it need some vibration (I.E. to pass a magnet by a coil or something to make the electricity, if that's how it's constructed?)

Read this thread: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1181854

It will explain what you need to do to get a knock sensor functional on a motor that doesn't have a threaded spot for the knock sensor.
