Default Valve clearance setting

Just wondering what happen when the valve clearance setting for B16A is wider (for ex: intake 0.2 and exhaust 0.25)then factory spec, other then the ticking noise? Lower performance? Thanks.

If it is too loose, it will probably make a ticking noise because the cam lobe is slapping the rocker arm instead of smoothly engaging with it and power could be slightly lost because the valve would not go down as far as it would if it were in spec.

It's also not good for long term integrity of the valves or cam lobes.
