Default Slow EG6!

I have a B16a2 engined EG hatch civic and have done a few modifications to it, however my freind has just bought a EG6 standard apart from a cheap cat back exhaust and filter, But his is car just as fast as mine!! if not a little bit quicker!!! WTF!
I have a 145k miles on mine, it all runs ok has no probs! his only has 85k miles on it could that cause mine to be slower?

Or can 17" alloys cause that much differance? i dont have a big stereo so its not that either.

The modifcations i did defo made it a bit faster coz i did the modifications at similar times to my freinds h22a lude' and it went quicker each time!
(he put a exhaust on - we raced, then i put an exhaust on - we raced etc etc)

Heres a list of my perf modifcations so u know whats done to mine-

*S80 99> tranny out of 1999 ITR (LSD and shorter 1,2,3 gears)
*DC 4-1 ceramic coated header
*Full mongoose exhaust (de-cat and no decat 2 1/4 mandrel bent etc)
*magnecore leads, NGK platinum plugs
*Apexi VAFC2 controller (stock settings)
*CAI

Any help appretiated! ste

Check compression and leakdown. 17's are slowing you down enough to notice I bet.

U think bad compression could make that much of a differance?
Anyone know what the compression shud be on my B16a2?

Oh wait, when you said standard I thought you meant an EG with a D-series then I saw EG6. Yeah, it's probably your 17's and the fact that your motor is probably a little more tired.

Scratch that, its just because i had tools etc and 95ron fuel in the car.....i had a little play with him last night and pulled right past him 1st 2nd and 3rd and kept pulling away in 4th!
Shows what less weight can do and good fuel can do (99ron)!!
thanks for all ur help anyways!
