Default code for the stereo

hi folks,

i just replaced mine with a new battery (it's a honda civic 99 model). now after replacing it, i cannot turn on my stereo. it is asking for a code. i bought it used so i'm not sure if the former owner has set up a code before. so can anyone help me how to get rid of the error? i will really appreciate your help thanks.

Default Check your glove box

Every car has a specific code,check in your glove box to see if the original owner left a five digit number anywhere.If you know the post owner's number call. if they don't know you'll have to call a honda dealership.

some cars put it in the owners manual. if you cant find it it's quite expensive from the dealer like $75
