Ok, I just got this CRX with a B16A motor, it has 80k on the block and about 4k on the head, just had the head rebuilt, the guy I got the car from said the person who put the head back together might have left a lifter loose, there is a ticking noise coming from the drivers side of the motor.

So I took it to a shop to have them make sure the valves are adjusted correct, it has auto cams, the guy said he will take a look and make sure that its not the vlave adjustment, and then call me tomarrow and let me know what could be makin that noise.

The car runs great, always starts right up, good power... just ticking, does anyone have any experience with this happening to a fresh head on a B16A?

 

Update: Took it to a shop, they adjusted the valves, didnt cost much, they said thet were out of adjustment. Started the car up, and I still hear a clicking, but I have narrowed it down to a zone. Near the fuel rain on the drivers side...

Can an injector make a fairly loud clicking noise? (somthing you can hear with the hood shut)? Maybe I have a bad injector?

Exhaust looks fine, no smoke or anything.....

 

Injectors do click.

 

I know... but do they get loud? Maybe when they are not working properly?

I dont know, I am just trying to find out what is clicking...

I would like to know who has a 94 B16A JDM motor in a 91 CRX Si, so I can ask them a few questions.....??
