I was reading up on lucas treatments and one of there products, the octane booster, says that it eliminates spark knock what is that? is that the eqqvilent of using lower octane in a car that uses higher octane? (sorry if i posted in the wrong section, but i thought this had something to do with engine tech...)

 

It is another name for detonation or pre-ignition.
