I just did a B16A2 swap into my '89 CRX Si , and I want to start doing bolt-on mods to it...I was thinking about this...CAI, Intake manifold (either Skunk2 or the Typhoon), Header, cat back exhaust, Cams, and cam gears, valve springs and retainers, and maybe the bottle...since I wont have the money for a turbo.

My question is:

Will GSR cams work with the B16A2 head (i was wondering because there is a guy near me that says that he has a B16 head with GSR cams and str cam gears, and I was going to buy them from him)???

Please help me out with any suggestions or comments...I sold my Mustang for an Import and I am new to the whole Import scene, Please Help !!!

GSR cams will fit and likely give you a better profile than the Si cams. If the price is right, I'd say go for it. I'd also set the gears back to 0 deg before you install them. You don't want to have his settings dialed in when you put them in.

 

He is wanting $400 for the head cams and gears...is that a good deal ????

I d believe the head might be worked a little too !!

 

As long as it's all there and it's a good head then that's a pretty good price.

 

the gsr cams will be a very mild upgrade for you. imo, i wouldn't spend the money on that but rather the other upgrades that you'd mentioned.
