Default Headers

What kind of headers would fit my setup? I am doing a ls vtec, using a 99 si head with a ls block or possible a GSR block. What kind of headers would fit? SI, or LS or what? THanx

You'll want a header made for a 1.8L b series engine. Look to models for GSR or ITR. Headers made for a 1.6 will be too short.

You'll still probably have to get a testpipe made to fill the gap between the header collector and the rest of your exhaust. I tried B16A, B18B, B18C headers and none of them met up with the rest of the exhaust properly. B16A wouldn't even bolt up because of the height difference in the block, as Tony mentioned.

Singular -> Header

GSR and LS block are the same height. It will work.

So if i did an lsvtec w/ a B16a2 head on my B18b block. I'd have to get a new header.

Good. BTW, it is a header. The individual pipes are header pipes, primaries if they are between the engine and a collector, secondaries if between first and second collectors in the case of a 4-2-1 design.
