Default Ticking Sound - Need Help

I have an '03 TL Sport model. I love my car and take excellent care of it. Recently I've noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine. Sometimes it's louder than others. The Acura Service Center tells me it is the Purge Valve and there isn't anything I can do about it. I've made several complaints. They even tell me that it's on a lot of the newer cars as well, but how could they sell them that way? To me, my car now sounds like a bucket of loose nuts & bolts. Are they telling me the truth?

is your car automatic or manual? I have a 5sp Accord and the ticking sound is coming from the throwout bearing of the clutch. I didnt bother to fix it because the dealer told me it was normal. it's a little annoying

I have an automatic, I don't drive it hard, but I don't baby it either. I don't know if it has ever had a valve adjustment. When I bring it to the Acura service center, they just do what the records say it needs. They are the ones that told me it's a purge control solenoid. But they also said it is perfectly normal and they can't fix it. I just can't believe that. I've had it since 2800 miles and always did what ever maintenance they suggested.

Get another opinion from someone other than the stealership...preferably someone familiar with Hondas.

I am going to do that. I think their (dealers service center ) comments were ridiculous. Thank you all for the input.
