does anyone know anything about the four cam four cyl prototype from honda?

 

I haven't seen it but don't bet the ranch on it seeing production. I don't even know the benefits of having four cams versus two cams. You only have intake/exhaust valves to operate, and VTEC allows for two cam lobes on each cam as is.

The mechanical complexity, noise, etc. doesn't make it seem very feasible. Any links? Kind of interesting nonetheless.

 

i actually read about it on this web site. one of the articles about the new acura rdx turbo. it was only a paragraph long and did not explain anything. the paragraph is about 1/2 way through the article.
