Default Distributor Help

Okay i want to install my distributor with out messing anything up.
i believe last time i think almost ruined a cam shaft or blown a valve not really sure.
i wanted to know how could i install it with out any problems.
i believe the timing has to be right?
please any response?

On a Honda or Acura? I don't think it matters... I could be wrong. When I installed mine even the guys at the store said to look at how the grooves in the cam are sitting and match it with the pins( or whatever they are called) on the distributor. Thats what i did and it runs good. I do know that you have to get the distributor TIMED after you install it, or you won't have as much power, or you won't pass smog... So just get it timed after its installed...

The dist. should go on easily one way.....The theeth are offset so if the dist. goes on with problems then it may not be on proplery.
If your have it installed properly then the timing part is no problem.....nothing a timing light cant solve..

im having the same problem with mine..i need to know how to install one as well..i have a 91 integ. LS model..and its my baby.. i dont want to take it to some creep and have them rip me off...help!
