Default trace oil in my distributor?

My LS Vtec has been having some issues with hessitation, and miss firing. While doing the usual tune-up, and switching the cap and rotor on the distributor, I notice a small amount of oil inside the distributor.
In my limited experience that is not the way it should be. I am fairly new to Honda motors though. Anyone seen this before?

I'm going to run with a guess that your oil pump housing is leaking. The bottom of the distributor shaft powers the engine oil pump on some engines (honestly not sure about the B-Series), so if it's leaking it might be spraying oil up by the dizzy and causing your missfire.
