civic beat 350z
1.7 SOHC D17 was found in the 7th gen Civics.
I'm sure you could if you'd like to fork over gobs of cash and throw reliability down the shithole. The D17 is one of the many bastard childs of the D-Series engines as they all use VTEC-E which is a terrible setup from a performance standpoint. The 6th gen HX's used VTEC-E, and the D15 is just...yeah.
The K-Series is swappable into that chassis, HASport makes mounts. You're looking at least $4,500, and you'll be able to beat a stock 350Z without a problem then (with a K20A2)
