Even though it's only $0.20 a piece, in my opinion replacing the washer every oil change is kind of stupid.

 

I've never changed the washer in the two and a half years I have owned my car. The tranny washer should be changed, but the oil pan washer is just unnecessary.

 

On my friend’s car, it started leaking oil and changing the washer fixed the problem. The previous washer was from 11 years ago. So 20 cents is cheaper than doing another oil change.
