Having some strange engine problems. Seems to be fuel, TPS, or Vtec solenoid related. Kind of like the fuel shut off in my old turbo cars when you passed 17 psi in a boost spike. It seems to cut the power for just an instant, then it comes right back on. Happens usually in the 3-5 RPM range when adding throttle. It doesnt have to be flooring it either. Not all the time, but often enough to merit some worry. I dont know these V-tec engines well yet. Any ideas?

How bad is the cut off? Is it more audible or do you feel the power stop?

 

Well it is getting much worse now.
It is happening several times in a row now sometimes.
It is like a complete cut in power, but just for an instant.
It makes for a Jerky ride that is for sure.
It is starting to happen throughout the RPM range now too.
It definitely happens the least at full throtle.
I guess I am going to start throwing parts at it.
It hasn't had a tune up in a while, so I will start with that.
Hopefully someone out there has experienced something like this before, and has some ideas?.?.?.
