Default Halfcut and welded?

I would like to seek the expertise from fellow brother forumers on a car that has been halfcut. How will I be able to tell if a car has been half cut and welded back on with another half cut? What are the signs of evidence? Weld locations and pictures will be helpful. Thanks.

I'm confused as to your question. Are you talking like, an engine block, or an entire car chassis? :eh:

Sorry for the confusion, yes I was referring to the chassis.

look for any sanding or as if there was a weld put under the car there will be somewhere where you can find a seam

half-cut or "ringers", generally have weld seems and metal discoloration along the bottom and under the carpet. the top of the car along the pilars may have warpage from welds and bondo. wiring along the "alleged" weld might be spliced together. body panels may not fit squarely, which also might be a sign of a wreck. some ringers may have two different years welded together. you can check for vin#'s. you can tell if another vin# was installed or scratched off. if you really want a car and are not sure check ww.carfax.com and get a vehicle history.
if you know a car is welded together don't buy it. the car is no longer structuraly sound and will come apart in a wreck.

yeah look for the seams but if they did a good job you be able to see it from the outside, but the inside of the welds won't be sanded. so i guess look inside the engine bay at the inside of the fenders and frame?
