Default 98 Accord w/ 336k miles

I just bought my 1st Honda, 98 accord w/ 336,000 miles. Got it for 500$$ though. The car is in excellent shape, my main concern is the number of miles. How much is too many when it comes to mileage?? Furthermore, would I need to replace the motor at any point and time?? If so what is recommended?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll know when you've gone to many miles, no questions asked...

Yeah probably if it has problems and you want to keep the car, otherwise you wouldn't be able to drive it.....
I would recomend another motor, possibly another f22/23, or even a h22a..It all depends on what you use the car for, what you want out of the car and how much you want to spend....

Understandable, who is someone that would be recommended for purchasing the motor?? I am basically just needing transportation, but I like to have some extra zip though. I tend to hang on to cars for a long time. I always get bitten by the automotive bug when I start working on something and like to constantly make additions.

I would definatly recomend a h22a swap then, It will give you that extra zip. It's the motor out of the prelude....

They usually range from 195hp to about 220whp depending on the model....Your motor has between 140 and 160hp I believe.....I'm not too keen on the F-series motors...

My last Accord was a 1989 Sold it with 375k on it - NEVER had the head off - replaced water pump around 100K - ran like a champ avg. 30 Mpg. Just keep the oil changed, and check the hoses for wear - should get 500K out of it.

I agree, that is a lot of miles, especially for a 98. My friend has 33x,xxx on his 94 Legend. Still runs great too. Good luck with the new car.
