i'm interested in this topic too. Especially cars that are obd-II. JDM or USDM motors too please. :)

Yeah, I just posted a thread about this last week, so far no responses. I guess all those guys out there with an H22 in their 5 gen Accords don't feel like sharing the wealth! Kinda ****ty.

they will prolly get mad at me but go check out my FAQ's on hondasociety in the hybrid forum.

the main issues with h22's in 5th gens is the internal/external coil thing, the ecu pin swaping (gotta swap pin A6 and A11) and vacume lines .

having a 96-97 accord makes it kinda hard. you have to get a skunk2 wiring harness adaptor and convert it to obd1 and change a few wires around in the engine bay.

if you wana keep it obd2 the only motor that will plug in is the 96 h22a the 97+ h22 ecu has immobilizer and has different pinouts for the ecu.

the exhaust is also an issue, you have to cut the exhaust b/c the h22 header is about 16 inches longer than the accord header.

for power steering you have to get a custom line made and i hear you can use a 97 prelude line, but only one person that i know of did that.

Well, you have to try many different size belts depending on if you use the H22 P/S pump and H22 A/C compressor or the F22 P/S pump & F22 A/C compressor or any combination. The shop that did my swap literally went through 20 - 30 belts before they found the right ones that fit perfectly.

If you are swapping in a JDM H22A - the internal coil can be a problem - just use a '92 - '95 Civic DX dist. cap as a replacement.

had my swap doen now for almost 6 months - everything is hooked up (EGR, etc....) no CEL's at all!

quite satisified!! NOw on to making more power!!!:D

you should use the prelude ps pump and the accord ac pump. you have to taket he a/c bracket off the f22 and stick it on the h22. yeah gettin belts for it is a *****, i have about 5 spare damn near useless belts in my shop from 2 swaps

Why didn't your shop just measure the length that you need and get a belt that size? Probably easier than trying 20-30 different belts, :D

Do any of you have the correct belt size now that you have them done. If so please post it so we who are getting ours done can be one step ahead of problems............Thanks
