Clutch change?
I just change my B16A clutch to exedy stage 2. My question is do I need to bleed when I change my clutch cause I read somewhere that I need to bleed it? And please some one tell me what it means by bleeding it? The reason now is I feel my clutch feel very jerky on 1st and 2nd gear when I release the clutch not fast enough. Is it suppose to be jerky that much? Thanks.
Did you replace the clutch yourself? or did you pay to have a trained tech do this? Also what type of clutch release mechanism does your car have? hydro or mechanical(cable). if your pedal feels really soft and spongy go ahead and bleed it.. but it sounds like you are just not used to the clamping action of your pressure plate..
your syptoms describe dont really seem like its the release fork.. if you noticed excessive clutch pedal free play i would adjust it.. but most likely the shop you had it done at did this for you.. it probably is just really stiff and needs some breaking in..
