Junk. Stay away. The only way a "chip" will work for your car is if you have Hondata, Crome, Uberdata, or other OBDI user tunable ECU in your car that is tuned specifically for your vehicle.

Some of those just trick the ecu in dumping more fuel into the engine. The only good way is like said above tune it and chip it yourself you can also use Turboedit like me but different obd use different programs.

Most of them are a little resister put in a cute little plastic thing to cover it up. I've heard a lot when they first ocme out that you can get the same shit at radio shack for .50 cents

Oh are those the ones that go inline with the IAT sensor tricking it into dumping just a hair more fuel into the car?

i have a spoon chip, and a bull frog chip. the bull frog chip is for a p06 and is VERY slight, almost unnoticeable...and increased the redline to 7000. the spoon chip was for a p28...i put it in my p06...it threw a CEL (looking for vtec), and increased the redline to 9200...which is absolutley ridiculous, even for a built d-series, but it added so much torque that my stock clutch couldnt handle it, and just started slipping all the way through 5th gear.

if you already have a zif socket, i guess its fun to screw around with...but the only reason i have it is for uberdata/crome for tuning my turbo setup. i wouldnt get one as a sole mod.

You think your clutch was giving up already?

Default ebay module

i bought one of those a while ago...i didn't trust it so tonight i cut it apart expecting to see a bunch of microchip things

this is what i found....

absolutly nothing. its just plastic or some epoxy i suppose the material serves as a resister? (plastic is an insulator)
so dont buy this unless you wanna waste money, or have your car run rich

Something tells me if you hack into the further you will find a small resistor in there. No chips.
