Default B18c1 for a 98 civic coupe... is it OBDII?

Thinking of swapping a b18c1 in my 98 ex but wass asked wether the swap would still be obd2. I have no idea. So if the swap isnt and is in fact obd1 what will the diffrences be with my car as far as longevity goes? I dont want to do anything thats gonna shorten the lifespan tremendously.

Thanks for the help.

It should be just as reliable as an OBD2 B18C1.

Keep in mind that if you have inspections, an OBD1 engine in an OBD2 car will fail.

Well I have my inspection stickers mailed to me so that wont be a problem. My concern is the car running properly and not having things like the check engine light on all of the time.

As long as you do the obd-2 to obd-1 conversion properly you shouldn't have any problems...
