Default 94 GSR in a civic HB si with concerns on vtec

Just finished this swap a week ago and i recently checked my vtec engament. Its enganing at 3.8k rpm if not 4k rpm and it is pretty loud. Is it too early, will it cause problem to motor and I heard that vtech should not be noticable (loud) but this ones is. Motor has 100k on it and has been sitting in my old civic for about 1 year. will this be a problem?

thx

sounds a little early for a gsr ,i shouldnt be a problem to your motor , it seems like you might loose some power though, it engaging so early ...and theirs nothing wrong with hearing the beautiful sound of vtec kicking in ...lol

How are you determining thats it's engaugeing at 3,800rpm?

It won't harm the motor, but it will effect the performance of the motor.
