Default Best way to clean valve?

I just started working on a 94 honda accord. The car smokes a little bit and the main reason is the valves need to be cleaned. Anybody know the best way to clean them?

if the valves are full of carbon buildup, its possible they aren't closing correctly and fucking up the fuel mixture

Yeah, but you have other problems if your engine is at that point of carbon build-up...
