Default i want a new exhaust 2.5" ideas?

Bought my JDM ITR header tonite, got a carsound hi flow cat here (2.5in/2.5out)and now im looking for a good catback. Ive had my eyes set on a stock jdm itr (2.5") or the rs-r exmag. The exmag is $$$ though any cheaper ideas?? I want QUIET! NO fart pipes and prefer not raspy.

im a sucker for nismo if that tells ya what my tastes are haha

You won't find a cheap, quiet 2.5" exhaust in the aftermarket. The extra resonance created by piping that big will create a much louder exhaust note. Also, a chambered muffler would quiet things down a bit, but tend to be much more restrictive than a straight through design.

If any of that doesn't bother you and you are willing to spend a little for quality, look into the T1R catback. It features 2.5" piping and a pretty sick muffler. It is a little pricey, though.

i was actually looking at the tsudo sp/greddy sp2 catback. I like the style, and heard a sound clip... pretty slick! I REALLY like the ITR and RSR though. They're plenty quiet until you hit WOT then its all over haha
Just tryin to find something that sounds like those and is easier to find

The RSR is nice and I love the sleeper design, but I would pay a little bit more for T1R or Comptech exhaust.

Do not buy a Tsudo catback. They are junk. You want the real Greddy brand.

what about a twin pass muffler, its still straight through and a little quieter. probably the cheapest way to go about getting a 2.5 inch exhaust is buy the piping from kteller.com already bent, about 300 shipped. It is a full slip fit exhaust system from either cat back or header back, great quality and fitment. Get a muffler shop to weld up a muffler of your choice to it and your done.

definitely be careful w/ tsudo, it does produce a decent sound especially for the money, the silencer on my tsudo greddy actually does silence it so if you don't mind the added restriction of the silencer it may work for you. the thing to watch out for is fitment. its possible the company i bought mine from accidentally sent me the wrong pipe but its about 4 inches too short and does not actually exit in the cutout that was perfect around the stock exhaust on my BW rear bumper. would have sent it back but i had to get my car inspected so i had to use it.

Look into one of the Kteller exhaust kits. You can get a mandrel bent 2.5" stainless piping kit for a decent price. I had one on my old Civic with an 18" resontator and a 5x8 Magnaflow muffler. The car sounded like stock just putting around, but had an agressive growl when it was at WOT.

I forgot about that. I will probably end up getting some 3" piping from them. It is really cheap and will allow me to finish the sleeper look with an ES oval muffler.

I just finished putting on a custom exhaust on my eg coupe that looks and sounds close to stock. i am planning on turboing in the future i put a high flow 2.5 in & out cat with 2.5 mandrel bent alumunizied tubing with a borla turbo muffler. noticable power gains with a fairly quiet exhaust.

i actually went with an rs-r exmag. Deep tone just cruisin around, but sounds wicked in the WOT upper rpm range. I'll try to get sound clips in soon!
