Default b16 in what 92-95 civic hatch???

My friend is searching for a (eg) 92-95 civic hatchback to put a b16 into. Would a VX be a good canidate for the transplant since it is already wired for vtec?? I put a 1995 jdm b18b into my 1992 civic dx hatch and it was a direct swap, i even used the stock civic harness on the b18b. Would any of this be true for putting a b16 into a VX, or is there another model that this swap would be easier to do in?? Or does it even matter?? Im just think about the engine harness of the hatch being obd-1 and the b16 being obd-2. I know there are obd-1 b16s, however he wants to heep the hydro tranny set up. Is a VX a obd-1?

Obd-1 b16's are hydrolic, actually all obd-1 honda's are hydrolic to my knowledge.

The b16 is a direct bolt-in affair, as far as obd-1 to obd-2 goes, i'm not completely sure because i'ne never done that swap but I believe the plugs are different.

92 and 93 are OBD1 and have a cable tranny, as for the B16 its a direct bolt on, you could also use the DX wiring harness and just run vtec wires. or you can get an SI wiring harness

I didn't even think of the integra, oops I was thinking of the civic's....
You are correct the 92-92 tegs are cable, but the civics are hydrolic.

92-95 civics are hydrolic so the tranny will work fine.
If he gets a b16a2 he can convert to obd-1.
I believe he would need to swap distributors (to obd-1), the injectors, the ecu (already has obd-1 ecu)...wiring harness..(not sure what else as I've never done that conversion)...
