Default Muffler under water, engine stalled.

There was this puddle that I passed without problem half an hour before, and now my car got trapped in it. A truck pulled it out and now I just let it sit there and dry out. It wasn't a big puddle, I was about to pass it when the engine died. And I drove at about 20 mph. Damn. I never thought Wilma in Florida would affect my car in New York. Should I try to start the engine tomorrow or just have it towed to the workshop directly? Anybody had this problem before? Thx.

It depends wer the water went into the engine, If it got in through the intake you've probs done some damage, However if its just blocked the exhaust its probably ok, just tow it out and crank it over, once the waters out the exhaust it should be ok.....happened to me a while back.

If the engine turns over you should be all set.
