Default R/S question in ls/vtec conversion and other ?

Im wanting to do a ls/vtec conversion, but a website said it would change the R/S. How is that possible? It said that was bad. Plus it said, that eventually the pistons would eat into the cylinder walls. Is that correct? How can a vtec head effect whats going on in the bottem end?

Whats the website? You were probably reading about using an ls crank in a b18c block. Whatever site you read that from, I wouldn't listen to them, sounds like they are repeating hearsay.

The VTEC head will flow more then the LS head. The LS crank in the GSR/LS block gives you about 40cc's more displacement then you would with a straight B18C bottom end.
