do you think it's wise to use silicone to aid in sealing the head properly to prevent leaks?

 

If your head isn't seating properly against the block then you have problems that need to be fixed.

 

im srry,i don't think i phrased it properly, i am putting together a motor, and i want it to be a reliable build,one of my concerns where making sure everything is sealed properly,i ask because i see cars with new head gaskets n new built motors with leaks in the head.my thing is that i have had my block in head resurfaced even, and i was wondering would that be enough to just seal the head properly??? thanks

 

OEM headgasket w/ ARP headstuds and you should be fine

 

use an oem headgasket and torque everything down to specs in the proper order.
