Default 300whp b18b1

Hey guys im kind of new to the forums here and have been reading and learning a lot. At first I was trying to decide on what engine to swap into my 92 dx hatch. And I finally decided to go with a b18b1 over a b18c/b16a. At first when I decided on the b18b1 I wanted to go with a vtec head, but I have been thinking about how much power I would like to see when I am able to get closer to finishing my car. Of course it will never be finished really, but this is just my goal to reach in a year or so, I would like to see 300+whp. So of course the first thing im going to do is swap in the b18b1. I cant decide after that if I want to build the engine and turbo it or build the engine and put a b18c head on it. It seems the ls/vtec is already unreliable UNLESS you make sure to build the bottem end well and buy stuff like the golden eagle kit, and it seems like turbo on top of putting a vtec head on an ls engine would cause a lot of wear. So I was just looking for opinions on what you think would be the best plan. I dont have a lot of money to spend atm and would be doing stuff to the car as I get money, but will hopefully have the swap done within a couple months. Thanks

put a turbo on it and you'll hit 300whp easily. no need to bother adding vtec, just build the engine for boost.

goto the forum you want to post in and select to post a new thread

there used to be a button within posts but admins decided to take it out because they were afraid new users would mistake it for "reply to post"
