Im gonna try replacing the fuel pressure regulator, i know its unlikely it that but i wana put my mind to rest that its ok!
I hadnt thought of doing the fuel pump relay but ill do that too!! cheers guys!

hi in in the same boat too i get this damn thing as well if im just cruising this is what happens you feel a power loss..... then it picks up if you increase the fuel .... im gettin fed up of the swap in my accord its a nice thing to do but believe me you need the right car to do it in and theres issues like the e.l.d ..... my fuse box doesnt carry this thingy so what do i do to fix this my alternator only charges up to 13.85v shit man this motor is goin out of my car pronto ........

I don't know anything about Civics, but in Accords this symptom w/o CEL indicates the EGR ports are partially blocked. When you lightly accelerate, the additional EG goes to fewer ports and overleans the engine. The result is a flat spot in acceleration. Accords have had this problem since at least the early 90's models. If Civic has EGR and EG distribution manifold, this could be the problem.

Civics dont have EGR. It sounds like you migt have a distributor pickup or ignitor breaking up when it gets hot.
