The "flat clear" has the same protective effect as another coat of paint. So, that's all I did. :)
Ok, in an effort to save money I have modified the rear hatch/trunk, primered, painted and re-installed the tail lights. I just don't have the extra $ for a fiberglass unit. I also sanded and filled the rear bumper where there was some damage. I'll be primering and painting it this weekend. Other things on this weekend's to do list: Door Panel and floor templates Cleaning of the interior (Overspray and such) Remounting of my seat Template for my gauge panel/cluster Now, I have a question. Since I need a battery cutoff due to the relocation, can I mount the battery ANYWHERE inside the car? The cutoff switch will be in the back, but since I removed most of the floor, the sealed box I have is a little bit too big for that area (even though I have th worlds smallest battery ;) ). Would I be better off finding a spot for this thing under the hood or just move the box to my "passenger" area? Suggestions or comments? Steve |
Pic of the completed rear end and the motor almost completely stripped.

Let me wipe the drool off my keyboard...
Should have left it green...honda green represent!! If you ever bring it to Texas, I'd like to see it run |
you can mount the box anywhere in the car as long as it is sealed

Are you going to dip into the motor at all, or just run it with bolt ons?
|
Initially...that's up in the air. I have plans for a fully built NA motor, but I need to get everything else taken care of first.
Moved and welded the rad brackets to the driver's side of the engine bay. The Rad is now physically mounted with my Karcepts relocation bracket. I'll be finishing the templates and the last of the interior stuff tomorrow (I'm planning anyway). Steve |
Door and floor templates were dropped off yesterday. FAL window race kit and SSR stainless header/megaphone exhaust were ordered as well.
Slowly but surely.... Steve |
nice project you got going there.

Thanks!
Seat looks good along with the shifter. (I'll be marking it's final resting spot soon.) http://www.k-series.com/Images/Proje...GK1320-103.jpg Shifter cables, Hybrid Clutch line, and relocated rad with Karcepts mounting kit. http://www.k-series.com/Images/Proje...GK1320-102.jpg Motor disassembled ready to be shipped out for the last bit of work....I can't wait to fire this bad boy up for the first time. http://www.k-series.com/Images/Proje...GK1320-100.jpg http://www.k-series.com/Images/Proje...GK1320-101.jpg Steve |
