Does any1 know what the differance between the 92-97 honda prelude 2.2vti (185bhp) engine and the honda accord type R (212ish bhp)
is it aspiration? fueling? compression etc? thanks 4 ne info! Ste

The type R I'm sure has ALOT of upgrades in order to make another 27 hp over the lude.
-prob higher redline = same torque at higher redline = more HP
-higher compression for sure
-ignition timing
-cam timing
-fuel curves
-exhaust manifold, I bet it is 4-1 headers
- intake manifold
-exhaust system
Basically, to make more HP out of the same displacement, Honda extended the torque curve into higher rpms, giving the increase in HP.
And in order to increase the torque curve well into the higher rpms, much "tweaking" must be done, ie. exhaust manifolds, cam and ignition timing.
