Default Running Rich

My teg is running rich. I can tell because my A/F gauge ius stuck in green all the time and doesnt even wiggle one millimeter out of it and i get roughly 9 MPG I think it might be my O2 Sensor. How do I check that hypothesis without changing them? Thnx

Relying on a light show narrowband A/F gauge is not a smart move. If your oxygen sensor were fouled, it would most likely trip a CEL. When was the last time a tuneup was done? Also, check your distributor timing.

Stuck injector(s) maybe?

To do a quick check on all your injectors try this: get a long flathead screwdriver. Start the car up and while it is running put the tip of the screwdriver onto the metal part of each injector (not the plastic plug). Now put your ear onto the end of the handle and listen. You're basically using the screwdriver as a stethoscope. If the injector is working normally you will hear a non-stop rapid metallic clicking. That's the sound of the injector solenoid opening and closing really fast. If you dont hear a noise in one of the injectors then something could be wrong with that injector.

Would you happen to know how many miles are on the injectors? are you turbo'ed and running an FMU?

Heh, Thanks for all the replies. It was the O2 Sensor. Now I get my normal 33 MPG. I just recently changed it too . Good thing for the 1 yr warr.
