Default Just want to make sure....

I am installing my wideband O2 sensor for some street tuning at 8psi tomorrow just to get a feel for some tuning techniques. I have everything hooked up but I am a little fuzzy on what wire to splice for the O2 sensor at the ECU. I am splicing into my harness for my OBD2 P72 and one several sites, it says that pinout A6 is the one for my signal. I just want to make sure that this is correct because under the description, it says "Primary O2 Sensor Heat Control".

I need this wire to simulate narrowband O2 sensor readings to prevent a CEL.

don't worry about the CEL it will not hinder performance

You sure it won't go into limp mode?

I am just going to install the wideband for tuning and then remove it after everything is done, so I just want to get the harness all wired up so I can get ready to tune again for 10 psi when I upgrade my injectors and fuel pump.

I have the Hanes manual for the GSR P72, and it says that pin 6 is O2 sensor heater control (02HTC) on the wiring diagram... the wire for O2 signal is WHT/RED, but when I spliced voltmeter in for poor man's A/F gauge, it just reads like 1.0V +or- 0.3V... So I don't know, I got P28 chipped with GSR program, but o2 is the same on OBD-1... It's supposed to read from 0.1V to 0.9V for lean and rich mixture respectively.
Later,
Mike

It was A6. I am street tuning today and I have no CEL's and everything is running great.

I disabled the O2 sensor heater in uberdata and everything is fine.
