stock b16 sir II parts
I got the jdm b16a sir II engine. When I go to a part store what car should I tell them I want for parts. I tryed to get a water pump the other day and I told them it was for a 94 del so si. It was a guess but that is what I think the b16a second gen engine was put in, in the us. Needless to say they gave me a part that isnt for this engine I guess t he 94's came with the d series engines.
So anyone know what car I can tell me so I can get the right parts.

The correct model and year is 94-97 Del Sol Si VTEC...
in 93 they had no B16A at all, top of line was del sol Si
in 94 they added Del Sol Si VTEC, which just added the VTEC name after the Si, and came with the B16A...
U can look for parts for a GSR also, 94-2000, but be careful, there are some things that are different...
I got a 93 DX B16A swap w/ GSR head, here's what I do...
If it's for the engine (bottom end), like exhaust manifold and gaskets, etc., u can reference Del Sol Si VTEC (B16A), Integra GSR both 92-93 and 94-up (B17A and B18C1&5) and 99-00 Civic Si...
For head, make sure it is for B16A, as GSR head is slightly different.
Hope this helps,
Mike
In General, tell them it's a B-series motor, if they're not COMPLETE idiots they will understand.
