Default Bad engine noises

Juat got back from a month away for business, and my girlfriend says my honda was making "funny sounds". One morning she started it and the engine was making a clunking sound from the lower left hand area, and the engine was shuttering. I took it for a spin when i got home and it sounds as strong as ever. I think it was just some water in the fuel, but a "know-it-all" buddy of mine says i spun a crank bearing. What would be some indications of a spun bearing?

I think if it was a spun-bearing, it would prob continue to make noise/vibration until it broke, at which point you would def. be able to tell. I have those friend's too, but sometimes they are wrong also, lol.
Later,
Mike

A spun bearing would make a consistent rod knock until it eventually distroyed the bearing.

If it is an on and off noise, it probably isn't a spun bearing.

Ya thats what i thought, it only happened once. It was probably just condensation in the tank, and she got a gulp of water. H2O doesnt burn worth a s**t. Thanks guys.

Im having the same noise coming from the lower left front area, im thinking maybe it could be a spun bearing? idk im taking it in to the shop later to see what they say check ur crank pulley if it vibrates then maybe there is a problem with ur bearings, if not then ur probably right about the condensation
