Default JDM b16a sir II into a 92 TEG /LS wiring harness question.

OK I got a b16a sir II obd1 motor i need to swap in My 92 LS teg but its not vtec so I know I cannot used my harness or the harness that comes with the engine due to the fact its jdm and all backwards. So how can I fix this problem, from what I am reading I need to buy a USDM GSR or civi SI harness. Is that all i need to do?

just use your stock LS wiring harness and run the vtec wires, my buddy is running a JDM GSR motor in his 92 DA and he used his stock LS harness and just ran the vtec

Moved to Hybrid Forum..

teg92's suggestion is the cheapest solution. Trying to find a second gen GSR wiring harness for reasonable money will be difficult.

All you need is shielded wire of the right gauge, and the ECU pinout chart.
Are you running the JDM ECU?

the vtec plug should be near the Distributor, you have to find the right pin out on the ECU before you doing anytthing

ok after doing some reseach I think I understand. All i need to do is run the vtec solenoid, vtec pressure swtich to A4 & D6 of my obd1 ecu. ground the vtec pressure switch to any ground. And last run the Knock sensor to my ecu which is D3.

IF anyone has done this before please let me know is this all i need to do when I drop my b16a sir II into my 92 LS(obd1) integra.

B18C1 (GS-R) motor has a dual stage manifold, basically two paths for air to go through. By changing over paths at around 5700 rpm, you keep the right intake manifold for low rpm operation and open it up for high rpm operation. It's done by a vacuum operated diaphram controlled by the ECU. If your installing a B16A, you don't need to concern yourself with it, they use a different single path manifold.
