K&N Intake Wierd Noise after engine turn off

Default K&N Intake Wierd Noise after engine turn off

A recently put on a K&N cold air intake on my 03 V6 ACCORD COUPE WHEN I turn the car off, it makes a weird hsss... type sound. Does any one else have this??

I do. :awais:

Mine does it because the pressure equalizes between vacuum in the manifold and standard pressure outside after I shut the engine off. It is just allowing air to come into the manifold to take the place of the vacuum. Yours may be due to the same thing, but it doesn't sound like something to be worried about.

i hear a hsss noise too but only for like 3-4 seconds
its completly normal unless its something other than what im talking about

I have a 94' civic vti (b16a2) it has a induction kit on it and i hear it every time i turn my car off, its just because the engine breathes so much, when u shut ur motor off its still turns a few times before it actually stops...so while its turning its still sucking air in even though its had the fuel and ignition stopped from it.
