what is the diff between open and closed deck?

Default what is the diff between open and closed deck?
?????. ive been wondering since many people say the open deck h22a is better so i decided to purchase it rather than the closed deck 97-01.thanks

thanks.how much boost is safe to run on an h22a closed deck? from what ive read people say around 7psi,but is that completely safe or is there no such thing?

The H22 is known for its weak ringlands. As long as the boost is kept minimal and tuning is good, you shouldn't have a problem. Any higher and you would want to throw some forged internals in there.
