Default Dont rev past 3500 HELP?????

i have a crx that i swap in a d16z6 vtec from a 94 and it run good for a few days and now it won't rev past 3500 it has a skunk 2 cam,hp racing intake and a 2.5 all the way back. i have no idea of what it is but if any body does know what it could be please tell me

check the ignition timing and all wires....does the the exhaust smell bad? skipping? we need just a little bit more info

also fuel pressure, its that time of year for gas to be really bad in general. (winter mixes with spring mixes) which builds up alot of storage waste in pump cells at gas stations.

sounds liek the car is in safe mode....
is the check engine light on?
check if it's throwing a code.

wont rev, if all else fails get a computer. perhaps you burnt up the other on a custom pinny

Your ECU has put the car in "limp mode". It does that to protect the engine because something is wrong that could severly damage it. I had a 1990 Civic LX that did this, it had a bad distributor. Check the code it's throwing.

That's a huge exhaust for an NA 1.6, btw...

i use a 2.5 inch because i'am making a turbo for it but thats put on hold till i find out what's wrong with it. OK as far as i'am told it's the timing thats wrong but they tell me it the timing on the dizzy

exhaust is not the problem, cutting out at 2500 every time or randomly, can you rev it in N past 3500 and if you floor it what happens? i need to know this to give you an honest answer.

it's seems fine when idleing but when you try reving past 3500 it just kills it self

y did u put a d in a crx?
boces by me has a project crx, they stripped it strenthened the body, they are making it rw and have a chevy 305 that they will drop in as soon as they inlarge the bay. im sry but that makes me tear up to see that, could u imagine what that will do
they are puting in a racing suspension b/c the motor is so heavey they said it would drop the car to the ground with stock
