external and internal wastegate differences?
What are the major differences between the two, except for placement of course. Can you control boost on a internal wastegated turbo?

You can control boost on both types but the internal wastegates tend to have spiking issues at higher boost levels.
A manual or electronic boost controller can control the boost on either one.
