Default crude forced induction

this kid i know who really sucks at explaining things told me you can run a rubber hose from "some place in the car" "back into the engine" easily, free, and it "turbo-charges" your car for nothing. he also noted that it does not cause any engine problems overheating or anything.

any thoughts on what the hell he was talking about?

thanks

Sounds bogus to me.

If that were the case, why would us turbo guys shell out thousands of dollars for a turbo setup when we can get it for free?

Free boost... Wow!
It almost sounds like he's talking about running a tube out front to take advantage of the velocity of the car moving thru the air. "RAM-AIR"...

OK, lets do the math...
pressure = rho * V^2 / 2
at 60 miles/hour, you get a whopping 0.065 psi of boost.

Do you need larger injectors to handle all that extra air? :chuckles:

dont we call those ppl special, i have heard that bs before by using a turbo manifold and sending a charge pipe directly to the intake but thats just stupid and would choke the motor
