Default 2000 gsr..floating valve????

I have a 2000 gsr.....we stripped my friends car and put his exhaust onto it in va>.......the bolts to where the header meets the exhaust would not line up....so we tied to exhaust as tight as we could to the header to get it back to nc....one side of the rope broke........and engine ran fine...could this cause a valve to float or not....everything seems fine and nothing is makeing a noise??????

No. Just a nasty exhaust leak.

Get an exhaust that fits next time.

No, it won't. It will kill your power since the exhaust is stagnating underneath the car, but I have never heard of any valve damage because of exhaust leaks.

would not having any back pressure hurt ur engine...like if i ran it straight out the header and thats it for a couple of days until i can get the exhaust fixed
