there is a gen 2 around me with a b16a2 swap and he got rid of the power steering when he didnt have to.....
his car is faster at the start b/c of the shorter gears but i keep up with him and pass him in my gen2

B18B for boost...B18C-R for all motor...IMO

b18c1 for boost and a b18c5 for n/a .... if you get your hands on a good deal for a h22a1 then go ahead and get that imo

Why pay the premium for an ITR motor? Or the H22 for that matter?

If California smog isn't a concern, build a high-comp B20Z with B16 or B18C1 VTEC head. On 92 octane and about 11:1 C/R you'll have a very nice motor that respond beautifully to aftermarket VTEC cams. Or drop the compression to 9.5:1 and boost the sonofabish. Mate it to a GSR trans and you're set.

You might not have the "prestige" of a B18C1, but you'll be faster.
