I have a 00 civic si i bought as a shell, Which engine to put in it , my dads an auto dealer and i found a 2000 integra type r car wrecked hard in the rear , or should i buy a gsr ? I will Just be driving it on the weekends. Any help would be appreciative . I just sold my 04 srt 4 to buy the itr car for my parts , I hope this honda has some potenial , i know it wont be as fast as my srt but oh well , best time in my srt was a 8.67 on street tires with stage 2 . Ohh Well Someone Help!

 

srt-4's aint that fast they just are quick off the line unless they are heavily modded

 

if you plan to just swap the engine in and do nothing beyond i/h/e to it, get the b18c5. if you plan to build the engine significantly, get the b18c1. the price difference between the two doesnt make the c5 worth it if you'll be ripping it apart and replacing everything anyway.

 

Thanks for help , But as far as modifing i will be adding : a jackson racing supercharger , cold air intake , header , cams , cam gears , pulley kit . dont want to change any of the internals , the car has 32K miles on it , so which one the type r or gsr with these mods? Also would i have to add bigger injectors or fuel pump or ecu upgrade for the supercharger? thanks

 

get the b18c1 then. upgrading all of that is always a good idea.

 

Well , if i got the type r car , i could sell the seats and five lug suspension off of it , etc. I could get the car roughly between 4-5 thousand. So Now what , also what would a 00 si run with those mods that i listed in the 1/8? thanks
