If it runs AT ALL, then you're NOT 180 degrees off. So don't go trying that...

It's looking like maybe a tooth off. It doesn't take too long to open the timing cover & check.

Valve seals may be old hard and brittle, either replace the valve seals , pull the head and get a valve job at a good local machine shop or.... get some
CD-2 engine stop oil leak... follow this method very carfully. change oil...
put stop leak in between third and forth bottle of engine oil.... run engine very gently..... (when cold can idle about 1000 rpm) drive like grandpa around the block about 20-30 minutes..... let it cool down over night...
stay off the highway 50 plus MPH for the first week...... if you have to get on
highway stay below 60....5 speed xmsn keep it below 3000 on shifts first week
gradually increase..... most important warm up engine every time you start the car......no 5 min trips to AM PM, QUICK MART what ever....if smoke is reduced after a coulple of weeks.... run for 2000 miles change oil again....
with another bottle .... cold engine blue puff gone... otherwise refer to head rebuild.....

What's wrong with using the crank & camshaft timing marks? How did you remove the head, replace valves, & reassemble without using the timing marks?
